The warm weather is in the air! With the arrival of spring you may find yourself outside more. Now is the time to make sure your home is regularly maintained to ensure the transition between seasons is as smooth as possible. Of course, many people will start with spring cleaning to kickstart the new season, but here are some things we recommend adding to your to-do list this spring to maintain your home!
Check out our Spring to-do list below. Don’t have the time to maintain your home? Check out our Preventative Home Maintenance Services.
- Clean the gutters: Cleaning your gutters twice a year is important to make sure your gutters are clean and attached to the fascia board. This is included in our maintenance service package and something we highly recommend.
- Take a look at the roof: With the snow we got this winter, it is essential to make sure it did not damage your roof! Catching a possible leak early could prevent major damage in the future.
- Check the AC: Before the weather gets hot, make sure you take a look at your AC unit to lower energy consumption and check it is working properly. Our preventative services included changing filters in AC and heating units twice a year for this reason.
- Check out the deck: Having a deck or patio comes with inevitable wear and tear due to the weather. Before you enjoy your deck in the warmer months, look for discoloration, water stains, or broken wood panels.
- Check your windows and doors: With warm weather comes pesky bugs. Make sure you check your windows and doors to make sure they will not let any bugs or heat in this spring and summer! Also, give them a good cleaning!
- Lawn/landscaping: Are you looking forward to spending time outside in the upcoming months? Check out your sprinklers to make sure they are running properly and will create the lawn you are looking for!
Since we are now home more than ever, it is important to make sure everything in your home is updated and running smoothly to prevent any damages. Check out some more of our preventative services we offer to see the ways in which we can improve the quality of your home.
