The Top 10 Benefits to Maintaining Your Home

Home maintenance is the process of making sure everything works properly and repairing aspects that need updating to work effectively. There are many benefits in properly maintaining your home, which will help homeowners in the short and long term. Here are the top 10 benefits of maintaining your home:

  1. Saves You Money
    • Routine maintenance checks can ensure you are not overspending each month on gas and electric bills but can also save you a ton of money in the long term. Money spent on preventative maintenance, such as our preventative heating and cooling system checks, will help you save money in the long run if something needs to be fully repaired.
  2. Increases the Value of Your Home
    • Besides upgrading or adding an addition to your home, the best way to increase the value of your home is to maintain it. If you properly maintain your home, it will increase the value when selling it because the buyer will not have to deal with it.
  3. Keep Your Home Looking Nice
    • Maintaining your home will keep it looking nice now and down the road, from our power washing maintenance service to even touching up paint.
  4. Protects from Secondary Damage
    • Preventative measures such as our drain and trap cleaning service can protect against secondary damage of a bursting drain pipe that will cause floor damage. This, in turn, will save you money as well.
  5. Helps Keep Pests Away
    • How well the home is maintained is related to the number of bugs and pests infesting the home. Utilize our service of gutter cleaning to help with this!
  6. Improves Living Experience
    • A home with a quiet air filter or doors that don’t creak improves the quality of the living experience for everyone there.
  7. Decreases Homeowner Stress
    • Knowing you will have to have a significant repair one day that will cost a lot of money takes a toll on a homeowner. Maintaining your home helps to prevent needing big repairs and decreases stress.
  8. Reduce Energy Consumption
    • Preventative maintenance can help save energy, be more green, and save money by cutting down on using excess energy throughout the year.
  9. Improve Home Safety
    • Poor maintenance can be a safety hazard in unexpected ways. By properly maintaining your home, you can rest assured you are doing everything to keep you and your family safe.
  10. Extends Life of Appliances
    • Upkeep on appliances needed for daily life can help make sure they continue to work the way they should and do not need to be replaced sooner than they should. Check out our under appliance cleaning service to help extend the life of your appliances!

Need Bathroom Inspiration?

Bathroom Renovation Inspiration

From high-end to simplistic bathrooms, our team has done it all! So if you’re thinking about renovating your bathroom sometime soon, you’re in the right spot. We’re rounding up five bathroom renovations that are sure to spark some ideas!

One of our most popular Instagram posts was this bathroom! The wallpaper creates a vibrant personality in this bathroom, and we love the use of the tiled herringbone pattern.

This bathroom is filled with incredible details, including that cozy clawfoot tub! The homeowners did a great job of choosing colors, accents, and fixtures to fit the house’s look yet give it a fresh new feel.

This bathroom was a part of our Acorn Deck House addition in Lincoln, MA. Our team used only the best materials to build this luxurious bath.

This bathroom is not finished yet, but we loved this tile design so much that we wanted to include it. The use of tile inside and outside the shower truly makes for a beautiful design.

Our team helped the homeowners figure out how to renovate their basement to include a bathroom with a shower and washer/dryer. Not only is the space functional, but it’s beautiful!

This remodeled bathroom was designed with  kids in mind, but with the goal to give the bathroom more storage and a modern look.  We added in modern tiles, including white subway tile and black floor tiles, gave them more storage by adding in recessed shelving in the shower and made it fun yet modern with beadboard and green paint.

The Process Behind a Kitchen Reno

Are you thinking about adding on an addition, renovating your basement, or perhaps designing a whole new kitchen? Whatever the project is, you’re probably wondering what the process is.  How long will it take? What happens next? Etc. We work with homeowners on a weekly basis, walking them through the ins and outs of their project timeline. So we thought we would share it here, to help give you a better grasp of the project timeline.

Here is an example of the timeline behind building a new kitchen –

    • The first step is to finalize the project design and drawings
      • Our team works alongside designers, homeowners, and the project manager to develop drawings
      • In some projects we don’t work with designers, depends on the budget.
    • We schedule the demolition crew, arrange for dumpsters and pull the right permits
    • Demo is completed
    • Framers to build the space out
    • The plumber does rough plumbing
